A little bit of history…
The Jolly Sailor Inn is the oldest pub in the historic Cornish harbour town of Looe and one of the oldest pubs in the UK.
Established in 1516, The Jolly (as it’s affectionately known) offers a warm welcome to locals and tourists alike. Visitors are able to stay in any of the four well-equipped rooms when they are available, but it’s a popular place so make sure you book.
Here’s some Jolly Sailor trivia: The main beam in the bar is from a French ship of the line that was captured at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805!
We designed a custom theme for The Jolly that is visually arresting and hopefully captures the history and warmth of the Inn.
